We are a passionate, energetic group of high-achievers who want to help millions of working professionals like ourselves be at their best. In fact, Optimity is a dictionary word for the state of being best.
Our health platform powers wellness- and habit-coaching apps designed to fit the lives of busy people. We change the programs dynamically to suite the needs of employees at Fortune 1000 companies, governments and startups alike. Our customized health programs have the highest participation rates in the industry: averaging 77% for all enterprise clients in 2016!
Our executions of Optimity programs has proven reductions for drug claims costs, this is because our founders came from claims research and data analytics. This is done through predictive analytics using each company's historical drug claims data to do smart customizations of programs.
We have an insurer-back claims reduction of 180% in 2016. We plan to quantify this further in 2017, to achieve 800% return by help people be less drug-depended (sleeping pills and antidepressants for starters) and have less muscular-skeletal injuries.
Our vision of Optimity is to build a digital health and life guardian that can detect the earliest statistically-significant variance to someone's health/sleep/living habits to be able to catch diseases (such as early stage ovarian cancer or leukaemia) early.
Our visions is seeded by our CEO's work experience in preventive protocols for ovarian cancer and also her personal struggle in losing her young mother to late-stage cancer detection (leukaemia). This has been her obsession for the past 6 years.
With the worldwide health systems so overburdened and chaotic, and health & drug costs ballooning every year, the only way out of this horrible, unscalable, costly, reactive system is to completely flip how we approach it... from the grassroots.
At Optimity we are changing the world by empowering the middle majority of the population. We help each young, healthy professional to stay connected to their health states, stay motivated to invest in their health, and giving them back the most precious gift of all: time. Time to be with their loved ones and to live their lives to the fullest.
The unhealthy and disengaged employees are not participating in wellness programs offered by employers and insurance companies. Although North American companies are spending $7.8 Billion on fragmented solutions in wellness, $1.1 trillion is lost annually through the consistently rising health-related business costs, drug claims and absenteeism.
We are a passionate and evidence-driven team bonded by our personal connections to the pains of the reactive approach to health.
Our medical advisory team is led by key contributors from McGill, Stanford, and Society of Actuaries. Previous to Optimity, our CEO was a specialist in health data analytics on clinical trials with preventive screening.
